learning english by watching HBO

We  used to tell  John that we make money for you to  go  to school and learn english.    He need to learn it well and come back to teach us.  

One day, When I was watching CNBC,  John asked me why I watched it.   I randomly replied that I am leamning english.   

One day I was watching HBO TV.  John came and played next to me.  After a while, 

John: Are you watch TV for learning English?

Dad: Yes.     - - Actually,  I am enjoying the movie instead of learning english.

John: Then you don't need to watch TV.  I can teach you....

Dad: ..................
